World Cup Special competition terms and conditions
1. Overview
The World Cup Special is a free-to-enter skill-based football score prediction competition operated by The Perfect Score. Participants must predict the exact scores of selected football fixtures to compete for cash prizes, site credit rewards and leaderboard prizes.
2. Eligibility
Participants must be aged 18 or over, residents of the United Kingdom unless otherwise stated, and hold a valid registered account with The Perfect Score. Only one account per person is permitted.
3. Competition Format
Each competition round may contain a maximum of 6 football fixtures. Participants must predict the exact final score of each fixture. Only results from 90 minutes plus injury time count. Extra time and penalties are excluded.
4. Entry
The competition is completely free to enter. Entries must be submitted before the stated deadline. Once submitted, entries cannot be amended, withdrawn or cancelled.
5. How Winners Are Decided
Participants submit predictions for the designated fixtures before the published deadline.
Scores are awarded according to the published scoring system (exact scoreline, correct goal difference, or correct result). Where a stage contains exactly 6 fixtures, a +5 perfect-results bonus is awarded if every fixture result on the participant's ticket for that stage is correct. That bonus is not awarded on stages with fewer (or more) than 6 fixtures.
The participant achieving the highest qualifying score will be declared the winner.
Where multiple participants achieve identical qualifying results, the published tie breaker mechanism will determine the final winner.
Winner confirmation normally occurs within 48 hours of round closure.
6. Tie-Breaker Procedure
If multiple participants correctly predict all 6 scores within the same round, the winner will be determined using the designated tie-breaker question displayed during the entry process. If participants remain tied, The Perfect Score reserves the right to apply additional tie-break procedures or a random draw.
7. Knockout Stage Rules
During knockout rounds, participants predict the fixtures published for each stage before the deadline. Points from every knockout stage count towards the overall tournament leaderboard. Where a tie-breaker is enabled for a stage, it applies as shown during the entry process for that stage.
8. Overall Tournament Leaderboard
Participants accumulate points throughout the tournament based on correct score predictions. The participant with the highest overall points total at the conclusion of the tournament will win the £150 cash leaderboard prize.
9. Match Changes & Void Fixtures
If fixtures are postponed, abandoned, cancelled or rescheduled, The Perfect Score reserves the right to replace fixtures, void predictions or amend the competition structure where reasonably necessary.
10. Verification & Prize Claims
We may request photographic ID, proof of address or additional verification before prizes are awarded. Failure to provide satisfactory verification may result in disqualification.
11. Site Credit
Site credit prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash unless expressly stated otherwise.
12. Fair Play & Disqualification
We reserve the right to suspend accounts, void entries or disqualify participants where fraud, multiple accounts, collusion, bots, automation or any unfair behaviour is suspected.
13. Technical Issues
In the event of website downtime, technical errors or incorrect calculations, The Perfect Score reserves the right to void affected entries, recalculate results or amend competitions where reasonably necessary.
14. Legal Position
The World Cup Special is operated as a free-to-enter skill-based football prediction competition. No betting or wagering takes place.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
